Former dictator Manuel Noriega, currently serving out a long prison sentence in his home country of Panama, has launched a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard, the publishers of “Call of Duty: Black Ops II”, a wildly successful video game that features a mission to capture the Central American strongman.
The lawsuit argues that his portrayal in the game as a “kidnapper, murderer and enemy of the state” has damaged his reputation.
Oh, right, cause he was so close to finally winning that Mother Teresa Humanitarian of the Year award; if only that rotten video game hadn’t come out and red-flagged him for the voters.
Speaking of awards, Activision Blizzard won a special “Realism In Video Games” honour.
